April 2, 2016 GRASONVILLE, Md. - The Georgetown University men's golf team shot a team score of 8-over par 296 to sit one stroke behind Drexel for the overall lead after the first day at the Towson Invitational at the Prospect Bay Country Club.
Freshman Harrison Rhoades (Raleigh, N.C./Needham Broughton) shot an 1-under par 71 in the first round and is two strokes behind Drexel's Christopher Crawford for the tournament lead. Freshman Kevin Jackson (Atlanta, Ga./The Marist School) is tied for 11th at 2-over par 74.
Sophomore Cole Berman (Philadelphia, Pa./The Haverford School) is tied for 14th after turning in a 3-over par 75, while sophomore Sam Madsen (Madison, Wis./Edgewood[Cardinal Gibbons]) is 4-over par 76.
Junior Austin Rendell (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) rounds out the Hoya competitors in a tie for 59th at 9-over par 81.
