Two More Volleyball Camps Added for July

May 28, 2016

WASHINGTON - Georgetown Volleyball Head Coach Arlisa Williams has announced the addition of two camps to this summer's 2016 Arlisa Williams' Volleyball Camps. Due to high demand for the All Skill Camp, which is now full, a Defensive Day Camp and Setter/Hitter Day Camp have been added to the schedule.

The camps, which take place at Georgetown's McDonough Arena, are run by the Georgetown coaching staff and current players, as well as additional area collegiate, club and high school coaches.

The Defensive Day Camp will teach the fundamental defensive skills including floor defense, blocking, serving and passing. Campers will also receive training and instruction regarding team passing, serve receive and defensive strategy. The camp will be run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, July 11-12. Check in will take place at 8 a.m. on Monday morning.

The Setter/Hitter Day Camp will provide a comprehensive overview of setting and hitting in a close, small group environment. Campers will receive fundamental technique training as well as advanced skill training where applicable. The two-day camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13 and Thursday, July 14 with check in occurring at 8 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

Lunch will be provided for all campers on both days and every participant will receive a camp t-shirt. Cost for both camps is $240. To register for either camp, go to www.hoyavolleyballcamp.com. Slots tend to fill up quickly, so register early.
