WASHINGTON - Following the successful spring season that saw Georgetown University capture of the Gill Coed Dinghy National Championship, three Hoyas were named to the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) 2015-16 All-Academic Team.

A trio of Hoyas in Jack Gerli (Greenwich, Conn./Hotchkiss), Albert Kraus (Guilford, Conn./Guilford) and Jack Welty (Phoenix, Ariz./Brophy Prep) earned the honor following the 2015-16 season.

The criteria for the honorees are that he or she must be a junior or senior, have at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average or higher on a 4.0 scale and be a starter or key reserve in at least seven university-sponsored regattas.

A seven-person committee comprised of representatives from conferences in the ICSA evaluated the nominated sailors.
