WASHINGTON - Georgetown University volleyball's junior middle blocker Symone Speech (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park-River Forest) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Despite a pair of losses for the Hoyas on the week, Speech averaged 4.50 kills per set while hitting at an impressive .392 and added 1.25 digs and 1.12 blocks per set on the defensive end.

Speech opened the weekend with a 17-kill, .483 attack percentage performance at Xavier to go with four digs and four blocks. She followed that up with 19 kills, six digs and five blocks in a five-set loss at Butler.

Georgetown returns to the friendly confines of McDonough Arena for a pair of home matches this weekend against St. John's and Seton Hall.
