WASHINGTON - Arlisa Williams has resigned as the head coach of the Georgetown University volleyball team, Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Lee Reed announced today.
A national search for the next head coach will begin immediately.
"I'd like to thank Arlisa for her many years of service here at Georgetown, and her dedication to both the program and her student-athletes," said Reed. "We are losing an experienced coach with a passion for teaching, and I wish her well in her future endeavors."
Williams recently completed her 12th season on the Hilltop, amassing a 122-231 record over that span. The Hoyas finished the 2017 season with an 8-22 overall record and a 2-16 mark in BIG EAST play. Georgetown returns 13 letterwinners, including five starters, in 2018.
