WASHINGTON - Georgetown University women's basketball sophomore guard Dionna White (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the third-consecutive week on Monday after helping the Hoyas (14-8, 6-6 BIG EAST) to a 1-1 week in conference play.

White averaged 15.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.5 steals on the week. In a 72-70 overtime win over Providence College, White had 14 points and six assists. In a 67-59 loss to Creighton University on Sunday, she posted a 16-point, 10-rebound, three-steal outing. Creighton marked her first double-double of the season, and her 11th-consecutive double-digit effort.

The sophomore leads the team in scoring with 16.0 ppg which ranks her third in the conference. She also has 5.2 rpg and is ranked second on the squad in assists with 63 on the season. White has 74 steals on the year to lead the BIG EAST and rank 12th in the nation. Her 3.5 steals per game leads the league and is eighth in the country. The sophomore is also shooting .824 (56-of-68) from the line to sit at third in the league

This is White's fifth-career nod to the honor roll, and her third this season. In her career, she has earned eight total weekly honors. The guard was a Preseason All-BIG EAST selection this season, and Second Team All-BIG EAST a season ago. It is Georgetown's sixth weekly recognition and fifth nod to the honor roll this year.

The Hoyas will be back in action next weekend as the squad travels to Seton Hall University on Friday at 7 p.m., and St. John's University on Sunday at 2 p.m. Both games will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network and live stats will be available at www.GUHoyas.com.
