WASHINGTON - Georgetown University's volleyball team begins its nontraditional spring season this weekend as it welcomes a group of regional opponents to McDonough Arena for a playdate on Saturday, March 25. The Hoyas then travel to State College, Pa., to face Penn State on Sunday.

Following the weekend's action, the Hoyas continue spring practice that culminates with an April 8 event against various squads at the Richmond Volleyball Facility.

Georgetown ended the 2016 campaign with a 7-24 overall record and a 3-15 mark in league play. The Hoyas graduate just two seniors and return 13 letterwinners for 2017, including 2016 All-BIG EAST Second Team standout Symone Speech (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park-River Forest).
