May 3, 2017 WASHINGTON - Georgetown University's lightweight men's rowing team added a last minute race to tune up for the upcoming Eastern Sprints and defeated Temple on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, Pa.
"We had a great opportunity to make up some lost competition and head up to race Temple on Saturday," Lightweight Varsity Coach Lee Rumpf said. "The varsity eight boat had a great showing, winning by 16 seconds over an up-and-coming squad. Saturday's result will be a great launching point as we get ready for Eastern Sprints in two weeks."
