WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's golf team looks to repeat as champion of its own tournament as it hosts the 34th Annual Georgetown Intercollegiate on Oct. 15-16. The Hoyas won last year's event at the par-71, 7,102-yard course at Four Streams in Beallsville, Maryland.
The Hoyas will take on a field that includes Brown, Butler, Florida Atlantic, Navy Penn, Princeton, Rhode Island, St. Bonaventure, Saint Joseph's, Seton Hall and William & Mary. Georgetown will also have five players participating as individuals in the event.
Monday's 36 holes begin with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. Live scoring for the tournament can be found at www.GUHoyas.com.
Juniors
Patrick DiPasquale (Rochester, N.Y. / McQuaid Jesuit),
Eduardo Blochtein (Delray Beach, Fla. / Spanish River) and
Hardin Councill (High Point, N.C. / Westchester Country Day) will compete in the top three positions for the Hoyas while sophomore
Will Rand (New York, N.Y. / Blair Academy [N.J.]) and freshman
Will O'Neill (Morristown, N.J. / Morristown) round out the team.
Senior captains
Kevin Jackson (Atlanta, Ga. / Marist School) and
Anthony Perrino (Concord, N.C. / The Canon School), along with juniors
Noah Moss (Bethesda, Md. / Walter Johnson) and
Taso Scilaris (Bethesda, Md. / Walter Johnson) and sophomore
Tim Rotermund (Madison, Conn. / Trinity Prep [Fla.]) will hit the links as individuals.
The Hoyas are paired up with Princeton and Butler, starting on holes 1-4. For the individuals, Scilaris will start on hole one, Jackson and Perrino will tee off from nine, Moss will start on 14 and Rotermund will begin on hole 18.
Following the Georgetown Intercollegiate, the Hoyas wrap up their fall schedule at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate, hosted by Old Dominion at the Kilmarlic Golf Club in Powells Point, N.C., from Oct. 21-22.
