WASHINGTON– The Georgetown University women's rowing team will send one openweight boat and two lightweight boats to compete at the 54th Head of the Charles Regatta this weekend in Boston. The openweight 4+ boat will compete in the Club 4+ race on Saturday, Oct. 20 in event 21 at 1:53 p.m. Both lightweight teams will race on Sunday, Oct. 21. The 4+ team will compete in event 53 at 1:38 p.m. followed by the 8+ team in event 58 at 2:26pm.
"Being one of the world's largest regattas, we are looking forward to seeing some strong competition this weekend in Boston," Head Coach
Kendall Mulligan said. "The squad has been working hard in preparation for the Head of the Charles and is ready to put their work into action."
Georgetown will face off against its biggest lineup in the 54-boat openweight Club 4+ even on Saturday. On Sunday, the lightweight 4+ race will host 16 boats, followed by a field of nine boats for the final lightweight 8+ event.
Following Sunday's races at the HOCR, the Hoyas return to the water on Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Head of the Occoquan in Fairfax, Va.
