WASHINGTON – Georgetown University junior Hardin Councill (High Point, N.C. / Westchester Country Day) was named the BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Thurday. Councill put together his best performance as a collegian in Georgetown's final tournament of the fall season at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate.

Playing in his home state, the North Carolina native Councill paced the Hoyas with a 54-hole score of 214 (71-72-71) to finish 1 over and tied for 12th place overall. He beat his previous low score by five strokes and earned his best overall finish in his three years on the Hilltop.

As a team, the Blue & Gray finished with a three-round score of 875 to tie for sixth overall at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate, hosted by Old Dominion, in Powells Point, North Carolina. The Hoyas carded rounds of 295, 289 and 291 at the par-71 Kilmarlic Golf Course.
