WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's soccer team will close out the regular season on Wednesday traveling to No. 14 Creighton University for an 8 p.m. ET matchup against the Bluejays at Morrison Stadium. The BIG EAST Conference matchup will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) with Josh Peterson and Jon Schriner calling the action and Emma Braasch on the sideline. Georgetown is currently 9-4-3 overall and 5-2-1 in conference play. The Hoyas have earned a BIG EAST Championship berth and Wednesday will decide seedings.
The Blue & Gray is coming off of a tough 1-0 loss to the St. John's University Red Storm on Saturday at Cooper Field. The Hoyas dominated possession but failed to find the back of the net. The Hoyas outshot the Red Storm, 14-8, and took six corner kicks to St. John's four. Lenny Wilson had seven saves and took the victory, while freshman
Giannis Nikopolidis (Athens, Greece / Nea Genia Zirdi) was given the loss with four saves on the afternoon.

Derek Dodson (Aurora, Ill. / Waubonsie Valley) is leading the team in scoring with 17 points on eight goals and one assist for the year. Junior forward
Achara (Enugu, Nigeria / Berkshire School [Mass.]) is second with six goals and one assist for 13 points. Senior captain
Kyle Zajec (Westport, Conn. / Staples) has three goals and is tied for a squad-best five assists for 11 points. Junior defender
Dylan Nealis (Massapequa, N.Y. / Massapequa) rounds out the top four with a goal and a team-high tying five assists for seven points on the year. Nikopolidis has played in 13 games and tallied 43 saves with a 0.79 GAA.
The Bluejays are 11-3-2 overall and 7-0-1 in the BIG EAST having clinched the BIG EAST regular-season title with victories against Marquette and DePaul last week. Sven Koenig paces the team and leads the BIG EAST with nine goals, while Joel Rydstrand owns a Bluejay-best five assists. Goalkeeper Paul Kruse has played each minute for Creighton and claims a 0.542 GAA.
Georgetown is 4-3-1 all-time against the Bluejays and 1-2 in Omaha. Last year, the Blue & Gray defeated Creighton 3-1 at Shaw Field in the regular season finale. The last meeting at Creighton was a 3-0 Hoya loss during the 2016 season.
