WASHINGTON - Georgetown Volleyball Head Coach Toby Rens has announced that registration for the 2018 Hoya Volleyball Camps is now open. Four separate camps and a team tournament, running from July 9 -- August 2, will be offered for different age groups and skill levels.

The camps, which take place at Georgetown's McDonough Arena, are run by the Georgetown coaching staff and current players, as well as additional area collegiate, club and high school coaches.

The Youth Day Camp offers skill development for every level of play. Campers learn the basics with beginning skill training or can join the intermediate to advanced youth courts that will challenge every player to train at a level beyond their comfort zone. The youth program will introduce the next levels of competitive experiences and help campers shine at future tryouts. The Youth Day Camp takes place Monday, July 9 through Tuesday, July 10.

The All Skills Camp is for those on a college recruitment track as sessions are designed like a Division I collegiate practice. The fast-paced All Skills Camp is recommended for elite high school and potential collegiate level athletes. Precise skill work and game like drills will be utilized to further develop each player's tactical-minded game. The camp will run from Monday, July 23 through Thursday, July 26.

The "Training with an Olympian" Prospect Camp gives players an opportunity to take their game to the next level with Olympian Keba Phipps. Campers will learn advanced aspects of the game from one of the very best professional players of all-time. This college prospect camp will introduce players to higher level training techniques and concepts used by the pros. The camp will run from Monday, July 16 through Thursday, July 19.

In addition to the individual opportunities, Hoya Volleyball Camps also offers team camps. The Summer Team Camp is for serious high school teams that want to jump-start their season. Sessions are designed to mimic a Division 1 collegiate practice that focuses on precise skill work and game like drills for the betterment of the team. Recommend programs include high level varsity and junior varsity teams in the fast-paced team camp. The camp will run from Monday, July 30 through Wednesday, August 1.

Closing out the summer sessions is the Summer Team Tournament. The summer team tournament is the best preparation for a team to kick off its high school season.
