WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's tennis team fell to Navy, 5-2, on Saturday afternoon in Annapolis, Maryland. With the loss, the Hoyas slip to 2-10 on the season.
In doubles, senior Drew Spinosa (Claremont, Calif./Claremont/University of San Francisco) and junior Cecilia Lynham (Chevy Chase, Md./Holton Arms School) knocked off their opponents, Claudia Mackenzie and Emily Louie-Meadors, 6-3.
In singles, senior Casey Marx (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham) dominated Mackenzie, 7-5, 6-2, and junior Risa Nakagawa (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif./Palos Verdes Peninsula) defeated Amanda Keller, 3-6, 6-1, 6-0.
The Blue & Gray will hit the road on Wednesday to face Richmond. The match is set for 2:30 p.m.
