FAU Spring Championship-Day3 
WASHINGTON - Georgetown University's men's golf team shaved 20 strokes off its second round score to finish fifth of 19 teams at the 2018 FAU Spring Championship, hosted by Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton, Florida. The Hoyas carded a team score of 276, their best round of the season, to finish with a three-day total of 857.
Georgetown's round of 276 was the fourth-lowest of the 57 total team scores over the weekend and the second best on Sunday. Only the eventual tournament champion, Division II powerhouse Lynn, had a better final round than the Blue & Gray.
Cole Berman (Philadelphia, Pa./Haverford School) and Eduardo Blochtein (Delray Beach, Fla./Spanish River) both posted top-10 finishes, tying each other with overall scores of 212 after matching round of 68 in the 18 holes on Sunday. Teammate Sam Madsen (Madison, Wis./Edgewood/Cardinal Gibbons [Fla.]) also carded a 68 on the final day, and finished tied for 24th with a three-round score of 215.
Jack Musgrave (Chesterton, Ind./Andrean) tied for 58th overall with total score of 22 while Patrick DiPasquale (Rochester, N.Y./McQuaid Jesuit) was tied for 91st at 228.
Lynn won its hometown tournament with a score of 826, followed by UConn (845), Jacksonville State (850) and Houston Baptist (851). Georgetown (857), Florida Gulf Coast (858) and Oakland (860) were the only other programs to finish under par for the weekend.
Hartford (866), Bethune-Cookman (868) and the host Owls (870) closed out the top 10 while DePaul (876), North Dakota State (878), Murray State (881), Monmouth (883), Stetson (884), Manhattan (894), Hofstra (898), Morehead State (900) and Canisius (915) rounded out the competition.
The Hoyas return to action following Easter weekend as they travel to take part in the ECU Intercollegiate, hosted by East Carolina in Greenville, North Carolina on April 2-3.
