WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men's soccer senior forward
Ethan Lochner (New York, N.Y. / Stuyvesant) was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon. The No. 20 Hoyas are 3-1-1 on the season following a win over Yale on Sunday.
Lochner helped lead the Hoyas to a 1-0-1 week as he tallied three points with a goal and an assist. Lochner scored the first goal of an eventual 1-1 double-overtime tie with then-No. 10 Stanford, the three-time defending national champions on Monday. On Sunday, Lochner assisted the eventual game winner in a 3-1 win over Yale. Lochner assisted the second goal of the game, which came in the 52nd minute after the game had been tied since the fourth minute of play.
The senior is currently four on the squad in scoring after five games played. This is his first BIG EAST weekly award and the second of the year for the Blue & Gray.
