Junior forward

Giannis Nikopolidis (Athens, Greece / Nea Genia Zirdi) earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Both of Achara's goals last week were game winners, beginning Tuesday with the sixth-minute score at No. 9 Duke. The Hoyas (5-2-1) picked up a 1-0 win over the ninth-ranked Blue Devils to knock off their highest ranked opponent since topping No. 3 Maryland on Oct. 17, 2017. The junior forward struck again to lead Georgetown to its first BIG EAST win of the season on Friday.
Achara provided the golden goal in the 95th minute against DePaul as the Hoyas picked up a 2-1 overtime victory.
Achara ranks tied for second in the BIG EAST with four goals on the year.
This is Achara's first honor of his career and the second offensive player of the week nod for the Hoyas. It is GU's third award overall this year.
Nikopolidis was credited with holding the ninth-ranked Blue Devils scoreless to notch his third shutout of the season. He allowed just one goal in a 2-0 week for the Blue & Gray, managing a 0.49 goals-against averaging (GAA) and tallying six total saves. This is his first honor roll award this season and the third for the Hoyas on the year.
Also on Monday, the first RPI of the season was released and the Hoyas sat at No. 26 overall.
Achara is leading the team in scoring with nine points on four goals and one assist on the year. He is followed by sophomore forward
Derek Dodson (Aurora, Ill. / Waubonsie Valley) who has eight points for the season with four goals. Senior captain
Kyle Zajec (Westport, Conn. / Staples ) is third with two goals and a squad-high three assists, while senior

Louisville enters Tuesday's match with a 5-1-1 record overall following Friday's 1-0 victory against Pittsburgh. The Cardinals are atop the ACC Atlantic with nine points and a 3-0-0 mark, equaling the pace for Wake Forest. Adam Wilson leads the Cardinals with three goals this season, including a pair of game-winners. Geoffrey Dee and Cherif Dieye have two goals each, while Elijah Amo, Ziyad Fekri and Kino Ryosuke each have one goal this season. Sophomore goalkeeper Jake Gelnovatch has started five of seven matches this season registering three shutouts overall and a 0.57 GAA.
The Hoyas are 1-0 all-time against the Cardinals with the lone meeting coming in BIG EAST play in 2007. Georgetown won, 1-0, in Louisville to pick up the victory. This will be the teams' first meeting on the Hilltop.
