WASHINGTON – Three Georgetown University men's golfers finished in the top 10 at the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Villanova at White Manor Country Club on Tuesday. The Hoyas finished fourth overall with a 4-over par 856.
HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
• Freshman
Pieter DeGroot shot a 2-under par 69 on the final day to tie for fifth place overall (-2, 211).
• Fellow rookie
David Rogers and senior
Eduardo Blochtein both tied for 10th overall (+2, 215).
• Senior
Hardin Councill finished a stroke back from the duo to tie for 13th overall (+3, 216).
• Last year's medalist senior
Patrick DiPasquale, playing as an individual, tied for 23rd.
• Sophomore
Will O'Neill rounded out the Hoya participants, finishing tied for 27th.
WHERE THE TEAM FINISHED
• Rhode Island (845) won the tournament, followed by Appalachian State (850), Boston College (854) and the Hoyas (856). Host Villanova (874) was fifth with Delaware (878) and St. John's (905) rounding out the competition.

Georgetown will take part in NC State's Wolfpack Intercollegiate from Oct. 5-6 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
