BEALLSVILLE, Md. – The Georgetown University men's golf team shot a third round score of 294 to finish in ninth place with a three-round total of 890 at the 35th Georgetown Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
•
Eduardo Blochtein and
Hardin Councill shot matching rounds of 73 to finish tied for 15th (217) and tied for 23rd (221), respectively.
•
David Rogers remained consistent with his third 75 of the tournament to tie for 41st (225).
•
Patrick DiPasquale and
Will O'Neill both posted their best rounds of the tournament, each carding a 75, to tie for 47th (228) and tie for 57th (231), respectively.
• Playing as individuals, Matthew Barnes finished tied for 43rd (226),
Noah Moss was 46th (227),
Brad Whitaker tied for 53rd (230),
Tim Rotermund tied for 57th (231),
Taso Scilaris was tied for 60th (232) and
Pieter DeGroot finished tied for 67th (238).
WHERE THE TEAM FINISHED
• Washington led from wire-to-wire to post a 17-under par 835 to win the tournament.
• Loyola Maryland (862) and Butler (862) tied for second, followed by Florida Atlantic (873), Princeton (880) and Saint Joseph's (882).
• The middle of the pack included William & Mary (886), Rhode Island (888), Georgetown (890) and Seton Hall (897).
• Creighton (906) and DePaul (909) rounded out the field.
