WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team dropped its final midweek BIG EAST showdown, 3-1 (25-23, 25-20, 22-25, 25-20), to visiting St. John's on Wednesday night. With the loss the Hoyas fall to 11-9 overall and 1-5 in league play.
HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
•
Iva Vujosevic led the Hoyas with 16 kills while
Elissa Barbosa added nine.

Margo Snipe and
Makayla Serrett added six and five kills, respectively, with neither player committing a hitting error.

Emma Plutnicki led the Blue & Gray with 31 assists and narrowly missed out on a double-double with nine digs.
•
Kelly Chen anchored the Hoya back row with 14 digs.
• At the net,
Kace Boland was credited with nine blocks on the night.
• Boland's nine rejections are the most for any Hoya this season.
ST. JOHN'S NOTES
• Efrosini Alexakou led the Red Storm with 20 kills to go with 10 digs for a double-double.
• Rachele Rastelli added 18 digs.
• Erica Di Maulo had a double-double as well with 36 assists and 15 digs.
• Amanda Sanabia led all players with 18 digs.

Georgetown remains home as they host DePaul on Friday, Oct. 18 and No. 12 Marquette on Saturday, Oct. 19.
