WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team returned to its winning ways with a 3-2 (25-23, 17-25, 26-24, 23-25, 15-9) victory over visiting DePaul in BIG EAST action on Friday night. The Hoyas improve to 12-9 overall and 2-5 in league play.
HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
• The Hoyas snapped a five-match losing streak with the victory.
• Georgetown has now played seven five-set matches this season, posting a 3-4 record after going the distance.
• Four of GU's seven BIG EAST matches have gone five sets. Both of the Blue & Gray's league wins are in five sets.

Iva Vujosevic and
Peyton Wilhite posted career highs in kills, recording 29 and 15, respectively.
• Vujosevic also had 11 digs for her seventh double-double of the season to tie the team lead.

Elissa Barbosa had a double-double as well, her sixth of the year, with 11 kills and 13 digs.
•
Emma Plutnicki led all players with 52 assists and added eight digs.
• On the defensive end,
Jessica Cusi tied the match high with 21 digs while
Kelly Chen added 12.

Makayla Serrett was credited with six blocks, including a pair of solo rejections on the night.
DEPAUL NOTES
• Brittany Maxwell had 17 kills for DePaul while Emma Price had 15 and Bailey Nelson chipped in 12.
• Maxwell also had a double-double with 17 digs.
• Both Blue Demon setters had double-doubles as Ella Siddall tallied 28 assists and 10 digs while Natalie Hayward had 25 assists and 11 digs.
• Isabelle Banez tied Cusi with a match high of 21 digs.

Georgetown remains home as it hosts No. 12 Marquette on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 5 p.m.
