WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team will take on Villanova in a pair of matches this weekend in BIG EAST action. The Hoyas host the Wildcats on Friday, Nov. 1 before turning around to face VU on the Main Line on Sunday, Nov. 3. Friday's showdown with the Wildcats will be broadcast on the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) with Matt Janus calling the play-by-play.

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
• Georgetown is 31-27 all-time against Villanova (16-6, 7-3 BIG EAST). The Hoyas split the season series with the Wildcats in 2018, winning on each other's home court.
• Villanova has won three-straight in BIG EAST play. The Wildcats defeated Butler in five sets over the weekend before sweeping Xavier to close out their Midwest road trip.
• Four different Villanova players average at least two kills a set, led by Mallory Potts with 2.87 kps. Sanaa Barnes adds 2.42 kps while Clare Delaplane and Allie Olsonoski chip in 2.40 and 2.24 kps, respectively.
• Villanova's offense runs through Emma Decker and her 10.20 aps.
• On the defensive end, Regan Lough anchors the back row with 4.83 dps and Sophia Howling is the top threat at the net with just shy of a block a set.
