Hoyas Travel to Face No. 9 Marquette and DePaul in Midwest Swing

 
WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team opens its final three-match road swing as it travels to face No. 9 Marquette on Friday in Milwaukee and DePaul on Saturday in Chicago.

  • Georgetown is 13-15 overall to start the season and 3-11 in BIG EAST play.
  • The Hoyas went 1-1 last weekend, snapping a five-match losing streak and completing a season sweep over Providence.

Marquette
  • Marquette is 23-3 overall and 13-1 in the BIG EAST, tied for first in the league standings.
  • The Golden Eagles have won eight-straight matches and defeated the Hoyas 3-0 in D.C. in October.
  • Vujosevic tied a match high with 11 kills on the night and Cusi led the Blue & Gray with nine digs.
  • Allie Barber matched Vujosevic's 11 kills to tie for the match high. Martha Konovodoff led all players with 11 digs.
  • Barber leads the Golden Eagles with 4.63 kps while Hope Werch and Kaitlyn Lines add 2.69 and 2.57 kps, respectively.
  • Konovodoff anchors the Marquette defense with 4.48 dps.
 
DePaul
  • The Blue Demons are 11-15 overall and 3-11 in BIG EAST play.
  • DePaul has lost five-straight matches and dropped a five-set decision to the Hoyas on the Hilltop in October.
  • Vujosevic and Peyton Wilhite posted career highs in kills, recording 29 and 15, respectively. Vujosevic also had 11 digs for her seventh double-double of the season.
  • Barbosa had a double-double as well with 11 kills and 13 digs.
  • Cusi tied the match high with 21 digs while Serrett was credited with six blocks, including a pair of solo rejections
  • Brittany Maxwell had 17 kills for DePaul and had a double-double with 17 digs.
  • Both Blue Demon setters had double-doubles; Ella Siddall (28 assists, 10 digs) and Natalie Hayward (25 assists, 11 digs).
  • Maxwell leads DePaul with 3.62 kps while Emma Price and Donna Brown add 2.41 and 2.09 kps, respectively.
  • Isabelle Banez averages 4.72 dps on the back row.
