WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University football team fell to Colgate 24-14 on Saturday afternoon in a Patriot League contest at Cooper Field. With the loss, the Hoyas fall to 5-4 on the season and 1-3 in conference play, while the Raiders improve to 2-8 and 1-3 in the league.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first quarter, the Hoyas capitalized on a missed Colgate field goal to take the lead. Johnson completed passes of 15, 8 and 20 yards for first downs before getting into the end zone himself on a 28-yard run to give GU a 7-0 lead.
- The Raiders tied the game on the next drive and the teams went into halftime tied 7-7.
- Colgate scored 17-consecutive points over the third and fourth quarters to take a 24-7 lead.
- Johnson completed a 64-yard catch-and-run to Michael Dereus before finding Tomas in the end zone for a 7-yard touchdown.
- The Hoyas attempted an onside kick, but could not recover it as Colgate held onto the ball for almost the remainder of the game.
OF NOTE
- Johnson's rushing touchdown was the 14th of his career, moving him into sole possession of ninth place on Georgetown's all-time list.
- His 190 total yards of offense gives him 4,720 for his career, moving him up to third all-time.

The Blue & Gray will have its second bye week of the season next weekend before hitting the road for the final two games of the season. The Hoyas will be back in action at Bucknell on Nov. 16.
