WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team is back in action as the Hoyas return home to Capital One Arena to host the UNC Greensboro Spartans. Tipoff on Saturday afternoon is scheduled for 2 p.m.

- Saturday's game will be broadcast live on FS2 with Steve Buckhantz calling the play-by-play and Tarik Turner providing analysis.
- The game can be heard locally on WOL 1450 radio station with Rich Chvotkin in his 46th season on the call.

LAST TIME OUT
- Despite closing to within four in the waning moments of the game, the Hoyas (4-2) fell short to No. 1/1 Duke 81-73 on Nov. 22 at Madison Square Garden in the championship game of the 2K Empire Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project.
- Omer Yurtseven led Georgetown and tied for game-high honors with 21 points, all of which came in the second half. He was an efficient 9-of-13 shooting from the floor.
- James Akinjo was the other Hoya in double figures with 19 points and he also paced the offense with six assists.
- Qudus Wahab and Josh LeBlanc each chipped in seven points off the bench.
- Yurtseven and Jagan Mosely led the way with five rebounds apiece, while Yurtseven and LeBlanc each had four of GU's 12 blocks.
- The Hoyas shot 50.9 percent (28-55) from the floor while holding Duke to 41.5 percent (27-65) and forcing 21 turnovers.
- Akinjo and Yurtseven were both named to the 2019 2K Empire Classic All-Tournament Team, while Yurtseven was also named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the third-consecutive week.
SCOUTING UNCG
- The Spartans enter Saturday's contest with a 5-2 overall record after opening up Southern Conference play with a 74-63 victory over VMI on Sunday.
- UNCG is averaging 73.3 ppg, making more than nine 3-pointers per game, and are allowing opponents to score just 53.7 ppg.
- Isaiah Miller leads the squad with a 15.4 ppg average and Kaleb Hunter is the other Spartan in double figures at 13.9 ppg.
- James Dickey leads UNCG on the glass with 7.3 rpg, is tied with Kryin Galloway with a team-best 17 blocks.
ABOUT THE MATCHUP
- Saturday will be the third meeting all-time between the Hoyas and Spartans, with Georgetown having won the first two matchups.
- The two teams met most recently during the 2016-17 season when the Hoyas came away with a 78-56 victory at Capital One Arena. Jessie Govan had a double-double in that game with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
- Georgetown is 12-0 all-time against current members of the Southern Conference and this will be Head Coach Patrick Ewing's first game against the conference.
- The Hoyas will also play Southern Conference member Samford on Dec. 21 at Capital One Arena.

The Hoyas will head back out on the road for a two-game trip, starting with a matchup at Oklahoma State on Wednesday, Dec. 4. The game is part of the inaugural BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle.
