WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team fell 3-1 (25-15, 17-25, 25-16, 25-18) on the road at Villanova in BIG EAST action on Sunday evening. The Hoyas drop to 12-14 overall and 2-10 in league play.
HOYA HIGHLIGHTS

Peyton Wilhite led the Hoyas with 10 kills while
Jewell Johnson added eight and both
Iva Vujosevic and
Riley Wertzberger had seven.
• Georgetown posted eight total team service aces compared to four from Villanova.
• Vujosevic, Wertzberger and
Margo Pivonka each had a pair of aces.
• Pivonka paced the GU offense with 32 assists.
• On the defensive end,
Jessica Cusi led all players with 19 digs.
VILLANOVA NOTES
• Villanova improved to 18-6 overall and 9-3 in league play.
• Kathleen Johnson led all players with 13 kills while Clare Delaplane added 11 kills and 13 digs for a double-double.
• Regan Lough hauled in 16 digs and Sophia Howling had five blocks at the net.

Georgetown returns home for a pair of home matches this weekend against Providence and Creighton.
