WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team swept visiting Providence 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-23) on Friday in BIG EAST action. The Hoyas improve to 13-14 overall and 3-10 in league play.
HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
• Georgetown snapped a five-match losing streak.
• The Hoyas completed the season sweep over the Friars after winning 3-2 at Providence to open league play in September.

Margo Pivonka had a stellar match, leading all players with 28 assists to go with six digs, five kills, four service aces and a pair of blocks.
• Georgetown recorded nine service aces in the match.
Elissa Barbosa and
Kendall Flaharty both had a pair.

Iva Vujosevic posted a match-high 10 kills.
•
Peyton Wilhite had eight kills,
Elissa Barbosa added six and
Makayla Serrett chipped in five.
• Defensively, the Hoyas held Providence to a paltry .024 hitting percentage in the match.

Jessica Cusi had eight digs to lead the Blue & Gray while both Serrett and Jewel Johnson had three blocks each.
PROVIDENCE NOTES
• The Friars fell to 6-20 overall and 1-12 in BIG EAST play.
• Lindsay Schaible led PC with nine kills and three blocks.
• Allison Barber had 17 assists, nine digs and two aces for Providence.
