WASHINGTON – Georgetown University tennis Head Coach Courtney Dolehide announced the release of the Spring portion of the 2019-20 women's schedule on Thursday.
"We feel that this schedule will put our team in a position to compete, improve, and succeed within the BIG EAST Conference and with top caliber opponents nationwide." said Dolehide.
The Hoyas will compete in 18 dual matches, starting the spring slate with a visit to Maryland on January 18. GU will then head to Liberty on January 25 before a trip to West Point, New York to battle Army on February 1 and BIG EAST foe Seton Hall on February 2.
Georgetown will return to Annapolis, Maryland to go up against Navy on February 8 after competing in the Navy Invitational earlier this season.
GU's first home match of the season will come on February 9 against James Madison at the Junior Tennis Champions Center in College Park, Maryland.
The Blue & Gray will then host back to back matches at Yates Field House when Drexel comes to town on February 11, followed by an instate meeting with Howard on February 22. GU will head down to Richmond, Virginia on February 29 to go up against Richmond.
Georgetown will return home to take on Temple at the Junior Tennis Champions Center before heading into BIG EAST play. The Georgetown men's and women's teams will travel to Orlando, Florida on March 10, where the women will go up against Creighton on March 10 and Providence on March 12 at the USTA National Campus. The ensuing weekend will feature matches in Milwaukee, Wisconsin against Butler on March 21 and host Marquette on March 22.
Towson will visit the Junior Tennis Champions Center on April 3 and the Hoyas will make a short trip to George Washington on April 4 the next day before closing out the regular season against Duquesne on April 9 and Villanova on April 11 at the Junior Tennis Champions Center.
The BIG EAST Tournament will be held at Cayce Tennis Center in Cayce, South Carolina and will run from April 16-19.
