WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's golf team begins its spring schedule at the USF Invitational, hosted by South Florida at Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club on Monday and Tuesday. The tournament is the first of two straight that the Hoyas will play in the Sunshine State.

Monday's action will see 36 holes being played at the par 72, 7,004-yard course with a final 18 holes on Tuesday. Other teams participating include the host Bulls, Illinois State, Chattanooga, Mercer, Southern Illinois, Louisiana Tech, Florida Atlantic, Abilene Christian, Oakland, Elon, Delaware, Central Arkansas, Florida A&M and Cleveland State.

Georgetown closed out its fall schedule with a sixth-place showing at the ODU/OBX Invitational, firing a three-round score of 875. Hardin Councill (High Point, N.C. / Westchester Country Day) paced the Hoyas with a 54-hole score of 214 (71-72-71) to finish 1 over par and tie for 12th place overall. He was named the BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week for his efforts.

Eduardo Blochtein (Delray Beach, Fla. / Spanish River) leads the Blue & Gray with a 72.93 stroke average while Patrick DiPasquale (Rochester, N.Y. / McQuaid Jesuit) and Councill are right behind at 74.14 and 74.43, respectively.

Will O'Neill (Morristown, N.J. / Morristown) is fourth with an even 75.00 stroke average and senior captain Kevin Jackson (Atlanta, Ga. / Marist School) rounds out the competitors with a 77.33 stroke average on the season.

Following the USF Invitational, the Hoyas return to Florida to participate in the FAU Spring Invitational in Boca Raton on March 29-30.
