WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's golf team returns to action this week, playing at the Briar's Creek Invitational, hosted by the College of Charleston, in John's Island, South Carolina. The two-day, three-round tournament will be played on Monday and Tuesday at The Golf Club at Briar's Creek, a par-72, 6,101-yard course.
The Hoyas will tee off in Monday morning's first round at 9 a.m., beginning on holes 13-15. The second round will begin right after the conclusion of the first 18 holes. Teams will tee off again in a shotgun start on Tuesday, beginning at 8:45 a.m. A link to live scoring will available at GUHoyas.com
Georgetown is part of a strong 17-team field that includes Boston College, Campbell, Charleston Southern, College of Charleston, Clemson, East Carolina, Furman, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Long Beach State, Michigan State, Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, Penn State and UNC Asheville

Baili Park (Germantown, Tenn. / Houston High School) will complete the squad.
The Hoyas most recently played at the River Landing Classic, March 4-5, where they finished in a tie for 10th as weather shortened the tournament to just 18 holes. Popowitz earned BIG EAST Female Golfer of the Week honors after placing as GU's top finisher, turning in a 2-over par 74 to finish in a tie for 17th place. The honor is the first of the season for the Hoyas and the fourth of Popowitz' career.
Following this week's tournament, Georgetown will next play at the Bryan National Collegiate, March 29-31 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
