WASHINGTON – Six different Hoyas scored multiple goals, while eight found the back of the net, as the No. 18/16 Georgetown University men's lacrosse team cruised to an 18-6 victory over visiting Furman on Tuesday afternoon at Cooper Field. Daniel Bucaro (East Setauket, N.Y. / Ward Melville) (3G, 3A) and

Defensively, Georgetown's defensive midfield was credited with all five caused turnovers on the day.

Finn Dunne (Potomac, Md. / Georgetown Prep) had two each while
Tucker Gillman (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Shady Side Academy / Avon Old Farms) recorded one.
James Reilly (Berwyn, Pa. / Conestoga) continued to impress at the 'X', winning 11-of-17 (.647) faceoffs while fellow Keystone State native
Cade Heverly (Ridley, Pa. / Ridley) went 4-for-6 (.667). Reilly led all Hoyas with five ground balls while
Gibson Smith (Pelham, N.Y. / Pelham Memorial), the reigning BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, added four ground balls.
In goal,

Chris Brandau (Timonium, Md. / Boys' Latin) came on in relief and finished out the game with three saves.
Both teams traded goals back and forth over the first five minutes of action to a 4-4 tie. Georgetown then scored three-straight goals, and four of the next five, to take a 6-3 lead after the opening period. The Hoyas took control from there, scoring 11 consecutive goals as part of a 12-goal run spanning three quarters until the Paladins found the back of the net with 6:11 remaining in the third to make it 17-4.
Jarret Birch scored two goals for the Paladins while Anders Erickson added three assists. Alec Van de Bovenka collected 11 saves but gave up 17 of Furman's 18 goals on the day.
