WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's golf team finished 12th at the Rutherford Invitational, hosted by Penn State on Sunday. The Hoyas shot a final round 301 to finish with a 54-hole total of 895.
Hardin Councill (High Point, N.C. / Westchester Country Day) was the Blue & Gray's top finisher, shooting a 216 (71-72-73) to tie for 14th overall.
Patrick DiPasquale (Rochester, N.Y. / McQuaid Jesuit) and
Will O'Neill (Morristown, N.J. / Morristown) both tied for 42nd at 224,
Eduardo Blochtein (Delray Beach, Fla. / Spanish River) tied for 63rd at 231 and
Anthony Perrino (Concord, N.C. / The Canon School) finished 78th at 242.
Playing as an individual,
Noah Moss (Bethesda, Md. / Walter Johnson) finished 58th at 228.
The host Nittany Lions (855) won the tournament, followed by Eastern Michigan (857), West Virginia (862), UConn (863) and Seton Hall (873). Minnesota (878) finished sixth, followed by Rutgers (879), Loyola Maryland (881), Dayton (888) and William & Mary (892). Oakland (893), the Hoyas (895) and Cornell (917) rounded out the competition.
Up next, the Hoyas take part in the BIG EAST Championship in Callawassie Island, South Carolina on April 26-28.
