WASHINGTON – Georgetown University junior Eduardo Blochtein (Delray Beach, Fla. / Spanish River) was named All-BIG EAST First Team, as announced by the league office on Thursday. The All-BIG EAST honorees were chosen by the league's head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own players.

Blochtein paces the Hoyas with a 72.73 stroke average and has posted three top-10 finishes this season. He finished fourth at the 34th Georgetown Intercollegiate, leading the Hoyas to a third place finish in the tournament. Blochtein also finished eighth at the Princeton Invitational, shooting 4-under par while tying a season-low round of 68, and was 10th at the Wildcats Invitational. He also finished 12th at both the USF Invitational and the FAU Spring Championship.

Georgetown looks to repeat as BIG EAST champions and win its third league title in the past four seasons this weekend in South Carolina. The Hoyas previously won the 2016 and 2018 titles at the Callawassie Island Golf Club's Dogwood and Magnolia courses.
