WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's golf team finished in sixth place at the BIG EAST Championship Presented by Jeep on Sunday at the Callawassie Island Golf Club's Dogwood and Magnolia courses in South Carolina. The Hoyas carded rounds of 312, 301 and 296 for a 54-hole total of 909.
Hardin Councill (High Point, N.C. / Westchester Country Day) led the Blue & Gray with a 226 (79-76-71) to tie for 14th place while
Will O'Neill (Morristown, N.J. / Morristown) tied for 17th at 227 (80-74-73).
Eduardo Blochtein (Delray Beach, Fla. / Spanish River) was tied for 22nd at 229 (75-77-77),
Noah Moss (Bethesda, Md. / Walter Johnson) was tied for 29th at 233 (82-74-77) and
Patrick DiPasquale (Rochester, N.Y. / McQuaid Jesuit) rounded out the squad with a 237 (78-84-75) to finish 35th.
Marquette (872) won the BIG EAST Championship, followed by DePaul (896) and both Seton Hall (899) and Butler (899) tied for third. Creighton (904) was fifth, with the Hoyas (909), Xavier (912), Villanova (924) and St. John's (933) rounding out the field.
