WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's rowing team will travel to Derby, Connecticut and Philadelphia for races on Saturday. The lightweights will send three collegiate 8+ boats to battle Yale on the Housatonic River while the heavyweights will face off against Saint Joseph's and Temple on the Schuylkill River.
Lightweight
The men will compete in a total of three races on the day. The first race against Yale begins at 9 a.m. with the third varsity eight crews followed by the second varsity eight race at 9:20 a.m. The last race against the Bulldogs will feature the first varsity eights starting at 9:40 a.m. All three crews will look to build off of positive results from last week's tilt against Delaware and Princeton. Hannah Elwell (Worcester, Mass.) will serve as the coxswain, followed by

Heavyweight
The heavyweights will send three boats to battle against Saint Joseph's and Temple. The third varsity crews from Georgetown and Saint Joseph's will get things started at 10:10 a.m., followed by the second varsity boats at 10:30 a.m. The first varsity squads will round out the morning at 10:50 a.m. In the afternoon, the Hoyas will return to the water for races against Temple. The third varsity boats will begin at 12:40 p.m. while the second varsity squads face off at 1 p.m. The first varsity crews conclude the afternoon as they hit the river at 1:20 p.m. The A Boat for the Blue & Gray will feature

Following Saturday's race, the Hoya lightweights will have a quick turnaround as they travel to Ridgefield, New Jersey on Sunday, April 7 for races against Harvard and Columbia. The heavyweights return to the water on Friday, April 12 as they take on George Washington University on the Potomac River in Washington, D.C.
