WASHINGTON– The Georgetown University women's openweight rowing team competed in Annapolis, Maryland on Saturday morning to take on Navy and Lehigh in a tri-race on the Severn River.
 
Four boats took the water for Georgetown with the women's varsity 8+ squad picking up the best result of the day. The Hoyas crossed the finish line with a time of 6:42.4, 8.1 seconds behind Navy for a second place finish among the three teams.
 
Next up, the women's second varsity 8+ boat raced in a field of four boats, with Navy fielding both its second and third varsity 8+ crews. GU finished with a time of 7:12.0 which put them in fourth place, 7.2 seconds behind third place finishers, Lehigh.
 
Both the varsity 4+ and second varsity 4+ Hoya boats tallied third place finishes in their respective events while the Midshipmen took home first in all four events.
 
The Blue & Gray is set to compete in the Knecht Cup in West Windsor, New Jersey on Saturday, April 13.
