It was a pitcher's duel until the top of the sixth inning when the Hoyas broke through with a run to tie the game. Barreca led off with a single and went to second on a sacrifice bunt. After a walk, Weisenberg lined an RBI single into right field to score Barreca and knot the score 1-1. Georgetown loaded the bases, but could not take the lead.
Seton Hall answered with two runs in the bottom of the sixth and two more in the seventh to go up 5-1.
A walk, single and fielder's choice put runners on the corners in the top of the eighth before

Seton Hall tacked on another run in the bottom half of the eighth inning to provide the final score 6-2.
