WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team swept every match of the 2019 Colonial Classic, hosted by William & Mary, to claim the tournament championship in Williamsburg, Virginia on Saturday. With the wins, the Hoyas improve to 6-4 on the season heading into the final nonconference weekend of action for the year.
Georgetown 3, UNC Greensboro 0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-23)
• Georgetown posted its second-straight sweep of the season with a 3-0 win over the Spartans.

Iva Vujosevic led the Hoyas with 10 kills to go with nine digs.

Elissa Barbosa and
Margo Snipe added seven kills each white
Brennan Wilhite chipped in six.

Jessica Cusi and Barbosa each had 10 digs to pace the Blue & Gray.
• Georgetown tallied seven service aces to UNCG's one.
•
Emma Plutnicki was credited with three aces for the Hoyas.

• The Hoyas closed out the Colonial Classic with a 3-0 sweep over host William & Mary.
• Georgetown has swept five of their six victories this season.
• Vujosevic was named the 2019 Colonial Classic Most Outstanding Player.
• Cusi and Wilhite were also named to the All-Tournament Team.
• Vujosevic tallied a double-double with 12 kills and 11 digs against the Tribe.
• Barbosa added nine kills with Snipe contributing six.
• Georgetown had eight service aces as a team with Vujosevic recording three.

Georgetown returns home once again to host the 2019 Hoya Invitational on the Hilltop next weekend. The Blue & Gray welcomes Binghamton, Florida International and Morgan State to the Nation's Capital on Sept. 20-21. The weekend will also serve as Alumni Weekend for the Hoyas and Georgetown's first NCAA Tournament team from 1998 will be celebrated on Saturday.
