WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's golf team closed out the 2019 VCU Invitational with an 11th-place finish on Tuesday, finishing the three-round tournament with a 25-over par 889.
HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
• Freshman
David Rogers paced the Hoyas with a 217 total to finish tied for 32nd overall.
• Fellow rookie
Pieter DeGroot carded a 73 on Tuesday to finish with a three-round total of 222 and tie for 50th place.
• Senior
Hardin Councill finished tied for 56th at 225.
• Sophomore
Will O'Neill shot a 227 to tie for 64th.
• Senior
Eduardo Blochtein was one shot behind O'Neill at 228 to place 67th.
• Playing as an individual, senior
Taso Scilaris posted a 2-under par 70 on Tuesday to match Rogers' 217 and tie for 32nd overall.
WHERE THEY FINISHED
• Old Dominion won the tournament with a 28-under par 836, followed by Virginia Tech (-27, 837), James Madison (-24, 840), Maryland (-23, 841), the host Rams (-19, 845) and Loyola Maryland (-18, 846). Rounding out the field was Richmond (-6, 858), Radford (-5, 859), Boston College (+3, 867), George Washington (+23, 887), the Hoyas (+25, 889) and Villanova (+25, 889)

Georgetown will take part in Villanova's Wildcat Invitational from Sept. 30 - Oct. 1 in White Manor, Pennsylvania.
