  • The Hoyas moved up to No. 3 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll this past week.  The squad is coming off of a 3-0 victory over Butler to open BIG EAST play as Jacob Montes scored a pair of goals in the victory.
  • On Monday, Dylan Nealis was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for his assist on the game winner at Butler as well as the defense getting the shutout.  Additionally, Montes was named to the honor roll for his two goals in the Butler victory.
  • It marked GU's second defensive award of the season and the third weekly recognition of the year.  Georgetown has also had two players named to the honor roll.
  • Zach Riviere leads the team in scoring with nine points on four goals and one assist.  Three players have eight points as Paul Rothrock has a goal and a squad-high six assists, Montes has four goals and Derek Dodson has two goals and four assists.
  • Georgetown is one of two undefeated teams in the BIG EAST Conference, there are only 10 undefeated teams in the nation currently.
  • Rothrock is currently leading the nation in assists per game with 1.0 apg.  The Hoyas are third in the nation in assists per game.

About the Cardinals
  • Louisville is coming off of a 2-1 victory over No. 17 Virginia Tech on Friday.  VT scored early, but Cherif Dieye scored a pair of late goals just three minutes apart to manage the upset.  For his efforts in the win, Dieye was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week.
  • The Cardinals have victories over then-No. 9 Kentucky (3-0), Florida Atlantic (3-0) and VT so far this season.  The squad also tied Cleveland State (2-2) and Syracuse (0-0) to sit at 1-0-1 in the ACC.
  • Cherif leads all scorers with nine points off of four goals and one assist for the year.

Series with Louisville
  • The Hoyas are 1-1 all-time against Louisville and 1-0 on the road.
  • Last year, the Hoyas fell to the Cardinals 2-1 on the Hilltop as Dodson scored in the loss.
  • The teams met once in Kentucky, a 1-0 win during the 2007 season.  Despite being in the same conference for eight years, the teams only met once because the league was split into two divisions.
