WASHINGTON – Georgetown University volleyball's senior outside hitter Iva Vujosevic was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. Vujosevic led the Hoyas to a 4-0 record on the week and the team championship at the 2019 Hoya Invitational. She was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player for her efforts.

The Hoyas went 4-0 over the weekend with wins over Morgan State, Binghamton, Florida International and crosstown foe Howard. Vujosevic opened the weekend with 12 kills and nine digs against Morgan State to go with four aces. She added 17 kills, five digs and three aces against Binghamton before recording eight kills and eight assists to go with three aces in the de facto championship match of the Hoya Invitational against Florida International.

Vujosevic closed out the week with a double-double, posting 13 kills and 13 digs with five aces against Howard.

She has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll three times in four weeks so far this season.

Georgetown opens BIG EAST play this weekend on the road. The Hoyas travel to Rhode Island to face Providence on Friday before going up against No. 14 Creighton on Sunday in Omaha, Nebraska.
