WASHINGTON –  Junior forward Derek Dodson was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday as announced by the league offices.  The award marked GU's third nod to the honor roll so far this season.
 
In Georgetown's 2-1 victory over Providence on Saturday, Dodson had a foot on both scores, tallying the first goal in the 48th minute, then assisting the second in the 75th minute. He also took two shots in Georgetown's 1-0 double overtime loss to No. 17 Louisville on Tuesday.
 
Dodson is currently leading the No. 2 Hoyas in scoring with 11 points on three goals and five assists.  Georgetown is 7-1 overall and 2-0 in BIG EAST play.
 
The Hoyas will continue BIG EAST play on Friday as the squad travels to DePaul University for a 3 p.m. ET matchup at Wish Field.  Live Stats and a webcast will be available at GUHoyas.com.
