WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team opened up a 29-point lead in the first half, en route to an 87-66 victory over St. John's on Wednesday night at Capital One Arena in a BIG EAST Conference game. With the win, the Hoyas improve to 11-5 overall and a 1-2 record in league action. The Red Storm dropped to 11-5 on the season and 0-3 in BIG EAST play.
ON THE RECORD
"It was a great win. Any win in the BIG EAST is a good win, especially coming off the two losses that we had. We still would love Omer to play a little better but the way they play - frenetic - it was a little hard for him to get touches." - Head Coach
Patrick Ewing
