WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team defeated visiting Fairfield 25-12 in the 2020 home opener on Saturday afternoon at Cooper Field. The 14th-ranked Hoyas (3-0) posted the sixth-most goals in a game in program history and the most since 1992.
HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
• Georgetown tallied at least 20 goals in a game for just the 20th time in program history.

Jake Carraway (3G, 5A) and
Dylan Watson (7G) led the Hoyas with eight and seven points, respectively.
•
Robert Clark (3G, 1A) and
Graham Bundy Jr. (1G, 3A) added four points each.
• Thirteen different Hoyas scored a goal in the game and 18 of GU's 25 goals were assisted.

Carson Milburn continued Georgetown's dominance at the 'X', winning 18-of-24 faceoffs on the day and collecting 14 ground balls.
• Defensively,
Owen McElroy collected 14 saves between the pipes in just over three quarters of play.
Jack Stephenson stopped all three shots on goal he faced in the final frame.

Gibson Smith led all players with three caused turnovers and added nine ground balls. Carraway added six GBs as well.
FAIRFIELD NOTES
• The Stags (2-1) dropped their first game of the season.
• Bryce Ford and Travis Ford both had two goals and an assist for Fairfield.
• Brian Reda scored twice as well.
• James Corasaniti collected 18 saves in the loss.
