DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Georgetown University baseball team could not overcome wildness on the mound, dropping the series finale at Davidson 10-3 on Sunday afternoon at Davidson's Wilson Field. With the loss, GU drops to 1-6 on the season, while the Wildcats improve to 7-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Davidson opened the scoring in the bottom of the first as a two-out RBI single scored a run.
- The Wildcats extended their lead to 4-0 in the third inning as a run scored on a wild pitch, followed by a two-run home run.
- Another two-run homer in the fifth made it 6-0.
- Salomon got the Hoyas on the board in the seventh with a pinch-hit RBI single to score Freddy Achecar III.
- After Davidson scored in the bottom of the inning, Matsko launched a 3-2 pitch over the right field fence to make it 7-2.
- Three Davidson runs in the bottom of the eighth completed the scoring.
COMING UP NEXT
The Hoyas will make the trip to Maryland Eastern Shore on Wednesday for a 2 p.m. midweek contest. The Blue & Gray will then travel to Virginia next weekend for single games against Richmond (Feb. 28), VCU (Feb. 29) and William & Mary (March 1).
