Men’s Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

WASHINGTON – Coming off the program's first national championship, the Georgetown University men's soccer team announced its 2020 spring schedule.  The Hoyas will play six total games culminating at the third annual Spring Soccer Cup hosted by Wake Forest.  Additionally, the Blue & Gray will embark on a foreign tour spending time in Europe including Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands.
 
About the Spring Soccer Cup
  • The Spring Soccer Cup features 10 of the elite programs in college soccer. 
  • New to the Spring Soccer Cup this year are Maryland, NC State and James Madison.
  • The 10 schools will be split into a North Division (Georgetown, Maryland, James Madison, Virginia, Virginia Tech) and a South Division (Clemson, Duke, NC State, North Carolina, Wake Forest).
  • Each program will play a round robin within its division throughout the spring season, which begins in late February.
  • At the Spring Soccer Cup on April 19, the teams will play one playoff match against the coinciding seed from the opposite division. 
 
Opponent Notes
  • March 28 will feature a rematch of the national championship game as the Hoyas travel to Virginia for a 1 p.m. matchup.  GU defeated UVA 3-3 in double overtime winning penalty kicks 7-6.
  • The Blue & Gray faced Maryland in 2019 defeating the Terps in College Park by a score of 1-0.
  • Home games are scheduled to take place at Shaw Field.

  • February 29 at Virginia Tech 2 p.m.
  • March 21 Oxford 1 p.m.
  • March 28 at Virginia 1 p.m.
  • April 1 Maryland 9 a.m.
  • April 4 James Madison 1 p.m.
  • April 19 Spring Soccer Cup at Wake Forest
