WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team fell to William & Mary 13-2 on Sunday afternoon in Williamsburg, Virginia. With the loss, the Hoyas slip to 3-8 on the season, while the Tribe improve to 4-7.
 
HOYA HIGHLIGHTS

• Anthony Redfern started on the mound and allowed seven runs in 2.1 innings.
• Jacob Grzebinski struck out five in 1.2 innings of relief, while Carson Frye and Michael Willis combined for 2.1 scoreless frames.
• Freddy Achecar III had three hits to lead the offense while John Simourian and Ryan M. Davis each had a pair.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Tribe opened up an early 8-0 lead with three runs in the first and five in the third.
• Nolan Matsko drew a bases-loaded walk to put the Hoyas on the board in the fourth, but William & Mary responded with four in the bottom half of the inning to go up 12-1.
• In the fifth, Alex Rosen doubled before Simourian delivered an RBI single.
• William & Mary completed the scoring with a run in the sixth.
