Three Hoyas Post Hat Tricks in 16-4 Victory at Towson

WASHINGTON – Eight different Hoyas found the back of the net while a trio of Hoyas posted hat tricks in the Georgetown University men's lacrosse team's 16-4 victory on the road at Towson on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Blue & Gray improves to 6-0 on the season.

HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
•    Georgetown posted its third 10+ goal margin of victory on the season.
•    The Hoyas defense held their opponent to four goals or fewer for the third time as well.
•    Jake Carraway led the Hoyas with three goals and two assists while Dylan Watson and Graham Bundy Jr. added three goals apiece as well.
•    Massimo Bucci added two goals and an assist, Declan McDermott had two goals and Sean O'Keefe, James Reilly and Peter Thompson scored lone goals.
•    Robert Clark had a pair of assists while Zachary Geddes and Brandon Meaux tallied one each.
•    Another dominant showing at the 'X' paced the Hoyas as the Blue & Gray won 15-of-25 (.625) faceoffs on the day. Reilly went 13-for-19 (.684) and hauled in a game-high 10 ground balls.
•    Defensively, Owen McElroy collected nine saves on the day and allowed just four goals, one in each period. Gibson Smith had four ground balls and a caused turnover to lead the close defense while McElroy and Carraway both had three GBs as well.

TOWSON NOTES
•    The Tigers did not score until 1:07 to go in the first quarter and only scored consecutive goals with their first score in the second quarter at the 14:01 mark.
•    Towson falls to 0-6 for the first time in program history.
•    Only one of Towson's four goals was assisted.
•    Mo Sillah had four caused turnovers and Koby Smith led TU with four ground balls.

NEXT FOR THE HOYAS
•    Georgetown remains on the road next weekend as it travels to face No. 3/4 North Carolina on Saturday, March 14 at 1 p.m. The meeting is the first in program history between the Hoyas and the Tar Heels.
