WASHINGTON – Georgetown University Head Women's Basketball Coach
James Howard announced the signing of Yasmin Ott to a National Letter of Intent last week. Ott hails from Little Rock, Arkansas and attends Little Rock Christian Academy. She will join the Hoyas in the fall of 2020.
Ott was a second team all-state honoree as a senior averaging 14.0 ppg to go along with five assists, two steals and two rebounds per game. In her high school career, Ott's squad won a pair of state championships in its respective divisions. The guard earned four star rankings from ProspectsNation and she was a three star by HoopGirlz as the 15th ranked point guard in her class.
Off of the court, she was an outstanding sprinter on the track & field team earning MVP as a freshman and also competing in USA Trials. Ott is also a member of the National Honor Society.
"The commitment Yasmin has shown to improve herself as a player has been a joy to watch," said Howard. "She is a bright student with a tremendous passion for the game of basketball, and we welcome that here at Georgetown University. She is skilled, fast, athletic and can score from all three areas of the floor. I look forward to coaching such a promising talent."
