Women’s Rowing Earns 24 CRCA Scholar-Athlete Awards

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's women's rowing team had 24 student-athletes earn 2020 CRCA (Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association) Scholar-Athlete Awards, as announced by the organization on Tuesday. The 24 Hoyas are a program record, surpassing the 15 rowers that garnered the award in 2019.

"We are extremely proud of the work the Hoyas continue to do on and off the water," Head Coach Kendall Mulligan said. "The honors earned here have been well earned through their hard work in the classroom. Congratulations to each recipient!"

To be eligible, student-athletes must be in their second, third or fourth year of eligibility, must be ranked performance-wise in the top 50% of their team, or in the "NCAA Squad" (whichever is smaller) at the conclusion of the 2020 season. Additionally, each rower must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher for their career, and through the fall semester or quarter for the current competition year.
